This cap can be changed in the configuration file. – Frame rate has been capped at 100 FPS to lessen the problem of Stranger becoming immobile. – Vertical synchronization is now checked by default. – Instance rendering togglable in the configuration file. – Anistropic filtering and GPU synchronization togglable in the launcher. – Fixed shader bugs that were affecting ATI and Intel users. – New female voices have been recorded for two characters. – Sound effects in Bounty Store menu fixed. – Sekto’s Office has been changed to more closely resemble that seen in the FMV. – Added Blisterz Booty’s broken crud gun to the floor by his bola’d body. – Added Abe’s Oddysee and Munch’s Oddysee easter eggs to the game. – Eliminated some methods of escaping levels as pointed out by Brody Taylor (thank you!) – Floating debris displays on water surfaces correctly. – A lot of environment now reflects in water where it didn’t before. – Most vegetation has been updated with increased polygon counts and/or higher resolution textures. – All environments have been given higher resolution textures. – Professor Dimble now has glasses and an academic tome. – Wolvark Sloghandlers now release Slogs instead of Slegs. – Fired Thudslugs left in the environment are now not an older design. – Zappflies left in the environment glow. – This includes all three variations of Live Ammo: Those in the environment, those on the Crossbow and those in the General Store. – All 84 character models have been updated with increased polygon counts and higher resolution textures. Bumping the anti-aliasing down to 4x (rather than using the max value of 8x) seemed to do the trick. This is the first time I've ever said this, but just stick with consoles next time.I spent a few minutes tinkering with the post-patch game and while the art assets are indeed quite impressive compared to the originals, I had trouble getting to a constant 60 frames per second. I've heard those versions are very well done.ĮDIT: Wow, I just looked up a fix for this movement issue and apparently turning on V-sync will fix it. Only way I'm going to play this game is if it shows up for free (or HEAVILY discounted) on Playstation Plus for my PS3 or Vita. If at a dead stop he with just rotate in a circle when you move the stick, you have to jump and get him "unstuck" to start moving forward and then it will work. Except that now there's an issue where the character won't move unless he's already moving. Then I go to try it out again a few weeks ago and my wireless controller DOES work! Huzzah! No 360 button mapping and only my wired 360 controller would work, the wireless one and my Razer 360 controller were not recognized (unless I used Xpadder which was only a half solution). (by the time they did, I had an Nvidia card ironically enough)īut when I finally got around to trying it out, the controller compatibility was very poorly done for a modern PC game. I finally gave up on SW on the PC after years of waiting for them to fix an issue with AMD cards.Įventually they fixed that issue with the transparencies by doing the HD update. If anyone have some sort of solution, please let me know. Has Just Add Water said anything about this? Seriously, big props for updating the visuals on the game, but a huge 'go fuck yourself' for making this thing unplayable.Įnd of the story. Just people having the same issue with even better hardware than what we have. I've googled some solutions and there's nothing. I thought he was going to be playing the shit out of that game, which is fantastic and very underrated. ![]() I tried the game on a way more powerful computer. One hell of an example isn't it? Well, it is something. I thought it was his notebook which is not a powerful thing but it can run Mass Effect on Medium at 720p, for example. All I see is a video with the Oddworld Inhabitants logo and then a message that says "Game Application has stopped working" So, what's next? The fucking thing simply does not work. I wanted to buy him a copy on Steam and the summer sale made the deal even sweeter. ![]() Stranger's Wrath is my young brother's favorite game.
